An Archetypal Image of Masculine Oneness with Nature
The Green Man, a “foliated face” peering from the leaves, is an image found in many places and times around the world. The Green Man continues to appear in people’s dreams and rituals today. Can he be a mediator between our imaginative and physical worlds? Might he be a source of inspiration? Stories, images, and the meaning of this archetype will be explored.
Anyone who is interested in exploring this topic in greater depth is invited to consider the workshop Meeting The Green Man, the day after this lecture.
