We will be reading and discussing Part 1, “Approaching the Unconscious.”

Written for the general reader, Man and His Symbols is one of the most accessible introductions to Jung’s ideas about the unconscious and the symbolic life of the psyche. Through dreams, case examples, mythology, religion, and everyday experience, Jung explores how the unconscious communicates and why symbols continue to matter in modern life.

No previous knowledge of Jung or analytical psychology is required—just an interest in the deeper questions of human experience.
