Landscape of the Unconscious: The Geographies we Dream

Geography and Cosmology: earth and cosmos. How does the psyche inhabit and inscribe these two realities and how does the imagination play with them –in art, in poetry, in dream, in myth and in fairy tale? Each of us creates a unique soul-geography as we individuate our route from womb to grave, literally and metaphorically. Each analysand, each human subject, brings to the work a world unique atlas of a potential world through which the Ego moves and to which it responds. The lecture and seminar will explore such unconscious landscapes.

Lecture: Friday, May 28, 2004, 7:30 p.m.
Workshop: Saturday, May 29, 2004, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
